Its very important to see a midwife or a GP when you find out your pregnant to get the most support as possible. Antenatal support or care is to make your your foetus is taken care of properly. The doctor or midwife caring for you and your baby will check the health of your baby, give advice about exercise and food, discuss choices about birth and answer any questions you have. Appointments normally take place at your home, a children's centre, a GP surgery and a hospital. Benefits of prenatal care is that it reduces the risk of any complication during birth, reduces complications for the foetus or infant and ensure the mother is prepared and all her questions are answered.
